What differentiates Amazon Kinesis from other similar products?

It's significantly cheaper. For $100 the same number of events are processed in kinesis as would be in GCP PubSub for $300

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It solves the problem of scalable streaming data ingestion without too much complication, and integrates well into an existing AWS ecosystem

What do you dislike most about this product?

Some more specific issues with parallelization and sharding within AWS that can result in data loss, but AFAIK they are being worked on

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Makes sure it suits your use cases - sometimes you can get away with using Kafka or microbatching to achieve the same result

my favourite aspect is their video streaming service.

i dislike their data firehose which needs to be improved further.

i strongly recommend this as this is a managed service and has great features

What differentiates Amazon Kinesis from other similar products?

Improvements are needed for the various ways log data is shown and the unusual IP addresses. The dashboard and user interface both require updating and enhancement. The apps you use on AWS and Amazon CloudWatch monitor the AWS cloud storage. Demand tracking is aided by tracking each request along with the IP address.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

We can set up specific alarms and, if necessary, use them to send out alerts. It is recommended to automate using defined standards. Stopping or lowering an instance when the CPU is not being used as much will help you save money and cut down on wastage. This is in keeping with our strategy for maximizing resources. Based on the CPU Utilization Metrics, we can set alarms. We may check the email bounce rate and deliverability.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Even though there is a pay-per-usage option, most users lament the high costs associated with managing many EC2 instances. It can be challenging to set up alerts and report templates. It does not provide instance memory measurements. It is not allowed to modify the dashboard. There is no transaction tracking. The billing cost is relatively high for some metrics, like SNS & SES Monitoring.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The main issues that Amazon CloudWatch addresses are finding a location where we can view all of our AWS cloud services in one place and configuring alarm systems. And behavior must be taken if a worrying situation arises, such as launching another instance if CPU usage is too high for an extended period.
