What differentiates Arcserve Backup from other similar products?

Ease of use, ease of deployment, low cost to entry for enterprise level features.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ability to perform a variety of backups from perpetual to agent less to application aware across clustering environments.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The support. The product is great when it works but the service and support provided has what has made me rethink my decision. It is never easy to get someone in support. If you need support over the weekend (despite have 24X7) support, good luck, you reach a disgruntled employee who will spend the first 20 minutes trying to convince you call back on a weekday or email you a kb article and close the case.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you have a dedicated backup specialist who can be dedicated to knowing the ins and outs and have a lower RTO then go for it.
