A product that saves space and has high recognition in the industry. I think it presents its features more realistically than other products.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Storage gain, fast access to archived files and e-mails.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its interface is outdated and needs to be checked constantly.

There is no other option regarding archiving.

What differentiates Arctera Insight Archiving from other similar products?

It's really convenient to be able to search through emails from the last year. My go-to tool for finding exactly what I'm looking for. I was even able to respond to communications from Veritas even after our email system crashed. My life was saved by Veritas. By utilizing technology, I am able to increase output and remove uncertainty from the process.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My experience has been that Veritas and Dropbox are a great combination. Dropbox has been the safe and secure home for my company's data for many years, and this has been a huge assist in maintaining its integrity. From the very beginning, the setup is a piece of cake. The application that runs on the server works effectively and requires little attention from the administrator.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I find it difficult to locate my stored files. I've only recently started using it, and our firm hasn't yet adopted it. Once I have a better understanding of how things work, I'm confident there will be an easier approach.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Veritas and Dropbox work great together for me. For years, my company's data has been stored on Dropbox, and this helps me to keep it safe and secure. Adding to that, it decreases the amount of space I have available. We've only been using it for a short period of time, but thus far, we're pleased.

Long Term Data Retention The software should have fault tolerant abilities in order to recover from minor data corruptions. Depends largely on the media (such as tapes)

Storage Optimization 'Storage optimization, unlike std. backup & restore, is for long term data storage, organizing it to find & restore information easily

Data Deletion Control and Space Gain The ability to reclaim valuable hard drive space freed due to the data archiving process based on the software’s successful confirmation & verification

Restore to Current Format Ability to restore to whichever “current” format the organization has in place at the time of archive data restoration

External Storage Connectivity Data archiving usually stores data on external, removable media that is optimized for long-term storage, at an offsite location.
