What differentiates Azure Cosmos DB from other similar products?

azure cosmos provides different apis for no sql , postgres , mongo so one can use cosmos for every type of database good concept of RU based consumption Easy to provision from ARM templates and dependency checks

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

shared database model where RU's can be distributed

What do you dislike most about this product?

High cost, we have used atals mongo which comes at less than 30 percent cost

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

try to explore different database models , dont blindly provision cause it can incur the cost

What differentiates Azure Cosmos DB from other similar products?

I have not used any NoSql Databases except this one so nothing that I can compare with. I have used Cosmos DB to store large before actually moving it to my final DB i.e. T-sql

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Cosmos DB is reliable and its container creating feature is very useful to store different sets of data.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I had difficulty setting it up and understanding. In 2020, there were not many resources to learn from but now I can see huge number of organizations using this hence, plenty of people to learn from,.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you want to save time while saving data to DB and you want to process it before saving then Cosmos DB is the best option to choose.
