What differentiates Azure DevOps from other similar products?

Azure Devops offers a complete suite of features, testing, repo management, task boards, pipelines, artifacts, testing plans. Using Azure Devops is like going to a big supermarket while other products are like going to small stores

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Azure functions are my favorite, I do RPA and build bots, so I can build serverless functions and run them as azure functions.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is not very easy to use but once you find your way around it becomes easier.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It has a steep learning curve, so you need to do a lot of learning. Also be sure to know how to set up so as not to incure unnecessary costs. Even if you use Jira or another project management tool, Azure Boards offers strong Agile/Scrum/Kanban support. Consider migrating to keep all DevOps tasks in one place.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing

If you’re working in a Microsoft-heavy environment, Azure DevOps makes managing releases, infrastructure as code, and testing pipelines much smoother.

What do you dislike most about this product?

For smaller teams or companies that don’t fully use Azure’s ecosystem, the platform can feel like overkill

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If your company is already invested in Microsoft’s ecosystem and needs an enterprise-level DevOps solution, this is a no-brainer

  • Reliable

The most frustrating aspect of Azure DevOps is its sometimes complex and unintuitive UI, which can make navigation and configuration cumbersome, especially for new users.
