What differentiates Bonusly from other similar products?

We run remote-first teams, which means recognition often slips through the cracks. Bonusly plugged into Slack and gave us a structured, public way to celebrate wins. The small-scale rewards model fit our budget and made it feel democratic. Interns could appreciate execs. Designers could appreciate IT. It created equity.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The hashtag system is brilliant. We tagged every bonus with company values like #RaiseTheBar or #ClientFirst. Over time, that built a cultural map we could actually measure. We used those tags in performance reviews too. I also loved the peer leaderboard

What do you dislike most about this product?

The catalog of rewards feels heavily US-based. We have teams in LATAM and EMEA, and their options feel thin or generic. Also, it doesn’t prevent gaming very well. We had to create norms around meaningful messages. Otherwise people were just trading points back and forth

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Layer in manager-nudged bonuses that recognize invisible work. And if you’re global, work with their team to curate better reward diversity.

What differentiates Bonusly from other similar products?

I have really enjoyed using Bonusly to call out the exceptional work done by my team members as well by others and under the conditions in which the performance was delivered. This acknowledgement of efforts was earlier not possible and thus lacked the transparency and visibility that our organization wanted to provide to all its employees

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Bonusly has allowed us to become more transparent by highlighting the exceptional work done by our teammates. We are able to highlight the organization's value the said employee has embodied, the conditions under which they delivered the said performance and the overall impact of their work on the entire organization. This tool has also enabled the employees to provide social proof for the work undertaken by them.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I don't like the fact that I have to choose the emojis from the list and can't type the syntax for the said emoji. Often, I find the GIF library to be disorganized and the search functionality can be improved further.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is an amazing tool and you should definitely adopt it in your tech stack.
