What differentiates Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) for Visio from other similar products?

It is a Microsoft product that fits well with the corporate O365 implementation so this means that it is accessible anywhere in the world. It is not overly complex and is intuitive especially if you are use to using MS products like the menu. Users that do not have a licence have the ability to contribute using their Visio Viewer licence

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

You can drag and drop a box in between two processes and the new process fits in and diagrame pushes the other boxes aside. Also, when hovering over the notation, it provides you with prompts to connect with arrows, lines etc instead of trying to drag one in. For example, if you need to add another box you can simply do this with one click! Another example would be to simply drag an entire swimlane and insert inbetween two lanes and it will adjust the model to fit this in

What do you dislike most about this product?

The icons and features feel outdated like the old CASE tools and does not have user-friendly environment for design and it will be difficult for someone new to use without some prior knowledge. BPMN does favour those coming from a business process modelling / business analysis background and not always for someone with technical background. Also I dislike the fact that there is nothign to validate IF the model is working or will work, unlike CASEWISE where you were able to run the model to see the effects.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If this comes with a o365 package then great, add it in with the rest of office tools like Word, Excel etc. IIt does the job but I would consider using newer whitebaords that allows you to do process modelling if that is whats needed for your organisation
