Great basic functionalities (chat & 1-on-1 calls)

Likeliness to Recommend

7 /10

What differentiates Cisco Jabber from other similar products?

Comparably lightweight, the architecture model is closer to the already well-known telephone system - and it's cross-compatible too.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The Private Meeting Room function, which opens a virtual room if a number is called, where others may join for a conference call.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The audio and video compression is noticeably lossy, no advanced collaboration functions.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Consider whether the basic functionality (chatting and conferencing over text, voice and video) is enough or are the more advanced features really needed.

Pros

  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing

  • Enables Productivity

Cisco Jabber simplifies communication.

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Cisco Jabber from other similar products?

Cisco Jabber's user interface is straightforward, but it's packed with enough features to meet most users' demands. It is possible to communicate with others in a private or group chat. It can also be integrated with your desk phone so that you can answer calls and dial out from your computer when necessary. It's easy to use, small, and doesn't take up much screen space.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Cisco Jabber chats provide a safe and secure platform for communication. It is easy to use and comprehend. The most effective method to forward calls from jabber or personal numbers is to use call forwarding software. Cisco Call Manager and other Cisco products use it. Using Cisco Call Manager as an IP PBX eliminates the need for another IM software. It is compatible with Outlook. There's an option to save previous chats and to change the theme. User-created directories are also possible in a network environment.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Some integrations, such as those with active directories, can be time-consuming. It can become stuck if another IM in your company network is not updated regularly. There should be more themes available. Video conferencing between Jabbers and other vendors' products necessitates expensive middleware and intricate. A template base and numerous XML scripts are required to integrate with AD fully.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It took us a few years to use Jabber internally because we had Cisco products in the workplace. Cisco Jabber is a must-have for team meetings and video conferencing with others. Even though it isn't free, I strongly recommend it for professional and personal use. That's something to remember.

Pros
