What differentiates Concrete CMS from other similar products?

Concrete5 was started as a way for Portland Labs clients to easily edit their website, I believe that philosophy still holds true, Concrete5 is great for end-users I haven't met anyone that does not pick up how to edit a page almost instantly, its also very dev friendly building blocks to suit your/clients needs is easy, it feels rewarding when you hand over a site with a custom made block that you know adds value to your clients site.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love making themes for Concrete5 you can basically do anything with it. it's very versatile, and I would say that versatility is its greatest strong point.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Lack of marketing, I think if more people just used it they would be hooked. Concrete5.org is beginning to show its age, I think a nice modern makeover would go a long way to attracting new users. Concrete5 marketplace lacks a structured payout policy, I would love to build more themes for C5 but at the a cannot rely on payments being made at a certain time which affects cash flow.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Go in with an open mind, and you will be pleasantly surprised, it does everything the more well known CMS's do but in a lot of instances does it better, it sits on top of a very modern modular code base, and is easy for clients to use and for devs to work with.

Free, open source and much quicker cheaper and easier to develop into a unique site than any other cms
