What differentiates Datadog from other similar products?

Has several out-of-the-box integrations with various cloud providers, technologies, and apps.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Datadog's limitless integration options are something I really enjoy about it. It integrates seamlessly with Slack and AWS. When it comes to visuals, the dashboards always present all of the important information on the same screen. They're also simple to personalise and read. The user interface is sleek and simple.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is not simple to learn to handle the platform from one second to the next; it takes a lot of effort and expertise to be able to accomplish the proper approach to utilise it so that everything runs smoothly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Datadog would be ideal for cloud-centric businesses seeking for a monitoring service, especially given its low cost. However, you should be aware that in order to get the most out of it, you may need to devote some time to learning how to set it properly.

What differentiates Datadog from other similar products?

I've been using several such platforms over my career and the switching from one to another usually bumps into the test of "how fast can you start using it as an end-user". Datadog has a good UX and is quite intuitive, almost no training is required to start using it.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

As mentioned above - the ease-of-use is the biggest advantage

What do you dislike most about this product?

We had to format all our logs differently, since when there were errors - you got each row of the error in a separate row in Datadog as if they are not related. In the previous platform we used, the entire "stack trace" of the error would appear as one group, which was far more convenient for debugging and searching.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Check your logs structure before committing, to understand if it answers your needs. Other than that the software is great

PRICE. Sometimes it's hard to show the business team why do we need DataDog

Look for training tools and team, cause you'll need to use all the features provided
