What differentiates Datadog from other similar products?

Datadog were bit early (than others) to support multi-product dashboards. Naturally it's inch more smoother to to the initial set up. You can launch your first dashboard really quickly in no time as most of the cloud handshakes are pretty intuitive and semi automated.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What I like most about DD is you can have a single dashboard for a set of databases from different zones, VPCs, product lines etc at a single page and compare them with filters for last 1 year historical data. That's a great feature to start your trend analysis like data growth, traffic analysis etc.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Even though the tool is intuitive their documentations are never upto date despite multiple concerns raised in various review platforms. Its because of the constant change and evolution the product is going through, but one got to keep up to be at the top.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For a quick start for your infrastructure monitoring DD would be a good choice. Some of the real time data pulling can be tedious if you have large size distributed infrastructure, but it's worth it once initial set up is done.

Datadog is a software that differs from others because it provides very solid characteristics such as real-time monitoring, which allows you to have a view of the records at all times, tracking problems in the applications is easy because through its metrics It is possible to realize just by observing the changes in them, this helps to clear any bottleneck and give a much faster response to it, stabilizing the performance of the applications, provides highly detailed reports, offers a great variety of integrations with other software thus giving better functions, also according to the application you can see personalized views.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect about Datadog is how easy it is to configure, because it does not require a lot of time or professional level to do it, but on the contrary, having technical knowledge is enough, its metrics are simple to read and help on a large scale. To resolve any malfunction of the applications before their poor performance affects users, in addition to allowing automated alerts that can be sent by different applications such as Slack, this guarantees that you are always aware of any abnormal behavior.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its interface can be complicated to use, especially if you are a newbie to this type of software, carrying out some searches may take more time than it should.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Datadog is an ideal tool to have applications with good performance because thanks to its functions it is easy to detect what causes poor performance in it, which provides a stable business infrastructure and happy users, its prices are accessible, but it is only available in the cloud which can be a limitation for some company.

Provide Great Cloud Services as Amazon and Azure but has limited viability
