What differentiates Datadog from other similar products?

Datadog is one of the best tools for infrastructure monitoring, as well as its APM service, is awesome.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like the APM service because it's a fully customized service. we can put database details also on Datadog.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is nothing disliked in data dog. The only thing I noted is the cost is very high.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

if you want APM with infrastructure monitoring in one place. go with the data dog.

What differentiates Datadog from other similar products?

We liked DataDog because we found it to be very efficient, and its monitoring and reporting performance and adaptability are outstanding. We've been able to install it at several critical infrastructure sites and receive real-time notifications when something goes wrong and it also assists us in resolving issues quickly.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

There are plenty of features in the Datadog feature-stack and almost all of them are my favorite first of all I like its metrics because we can use these metrics to track the performance of our system more wisely and deeply. Aside from that, these metrics can also be useful for the establishment of monitors and setting up alerts. We can also create our dashboard. To keep track of them, we establish multiple app dashboards.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I don't like this system in some cases like it is not added to the existing or even offered for saving when creating new dashboards, which is a significant pain point if not understood beforehand. During the setup, we have to contact support several times because the setup is the main pain point: it is too complex.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Because of their outdated documentation, integrating Datadog with your apps and servers can be difficult. However, if you contact their team at the time of integration, it can be done quickly and easily. Apart from that, this platform is amazing and will make your life easier by combining container, serverless, and log monitoring into one convenient location.

What differentiates Datadog from other similar products?

Dashboard is intuitive and easy to use. Setup is easy. Small footprints in the system. Host auto discovery saves times.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Event relations and management for tracing help save my neck a couple time. Alerting system also help me mitigate crisis earlier.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The host price base can see improvement in the era of auto scaling.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Setup correct probes and data monitoring. Have alerting lower than your ideal threshold just to be safe. In case you use kubernetes, be careful with setting since we once faced case where each pod is registered as individual host that blows cost out of proportions.
