What differentiates Edge Secure Web Gateway from other similar products?

Edge Secure Web Gateway, is a cybersecurity solution, well-designed to safeguard our businesses from web-based threats by playing the role of an intermediator between users and the internet. It uses web isolation technology to open risky websites in a secure container, this prevents malware infections.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Edge Secure Web Gateway is one of my best choices as I needed flexible and advanced web security. Its web isolation, hybrid deployment, and deep integration with Symantec security features make it a top-tier solution for all my security-related problems. It gives me detailed, role-based assessment control by which I can block any risk sites.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Edge SWG integrates very well with its security tools but when we have to integrate with external sources, I find it very limited. It has slow SSL/TLS traffic inspection, which causes a slowdown in performance. Especially when dealing with a large volume of traffic.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If anyone needs on-premises, hybrid deployment, and cloud-based software, then this is the recommended software. There should be a backup plan for onboarding in case one is facing learning curves as its management console is complex to deal with.
