What differentiates Fortinet Fortigate NGFW from other similar products?

I find Cisco FTD and Palo Alto complex but FortiGate is easier to manage even for freshers due to its simple GUI.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I find FortiGate's SD-WAN better than other vendors because they require a separate device for SD-WAN while FortiGate provides firewall and SD-WAN features in a single device.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I find FortiGate's GUI very simple, like working on a home Wi-Fi router. It should have been better compared to other vendors. Also, FortiGate lacks advanced features found in Check Point, Cisco, and Palo Alto.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are looking for a good firewall on a low budget for a small or mid-sized company, FortiGate is the best choice.

In-built SD-WAN for branch office connectivity and Strong UTM Features

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Unlike traditional SD-WAN solutions, FortiGate SD-WAN includes firewall, IPS, and anti-malware security in a single appliance and Centralized Management using FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer

What do you dislike most about this product?

Limited Advanced Threat Protection, Built-in reports are not detailed and Less Third-Party Integration works best in Fortinet only environments

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Go for a FortiGate firewall that fits your business size. Make sure it has SD-WAN, security, and cloud support for strong protection and smooth internet performance

What do you dislike most about this product?

less intuitive compared to other vendors and limited support in some cases

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Affordable for small companies but its GUI is simple and TAC support is slower compared to Check Point or Cisco
