What differentiates GitGuardian from other similar products?

The thing I love most about this is the feature of leak detection and code base monitoring for old and vulnerable packages. This features makes gitguardian special from other products. And also GitGuardian leak and api keys detection accuracy.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I found GitGuardian to be a helpful tool because it makes finding security vulnerabilities in code much easier. This gives developers more time to focus on other tasks, and helps ensure their code is strong and secure. And it reduces headaches of accidental secret leaks.

What do you dislike most about this product?

While I love using GitGuardian most, but there is a space of certain improvements in frontend or dashboard of GitGuardian. Ui is not so user friendly and customizable.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This is absolutely value for money product, considering they are upgrading GitGuardian also to make it more better. For my organization it was a good purchase coz we have several incidents where secrets were leaked and thankfully instantly reported by GitGuadian.

What differentiates GitGuardian from other similar products?

GitGuardian is a lifesaver for developers like me. Its automated secrets detection and quick remediation take away the worry of accidentally exposing sensitive information. The tool seamlessly integrates into my workflow, scanning both private and public source code effortlessly. I love how it keeps an eye on outdated or vulnerable packages, adding an extra layer of security to my projects. GitGuardian is simple, effective, and a must-have for stress-free coding

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Whenever I published any code that contains sensitive token or credentials, it detected right way and sent me an email about that. It is the most wonderful task that might slip way from mind if I don't give enough attention

What do you dislike most about this product?

There are occasional false alarms for secret leaks in simple text, which can be a bit distracting. It would be beneficial to refine the detection logic. Additionally, while functional, the user interface could be more user-friendly. Streamlining the UI would make the overall experience more seamless

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I usually don't review my code after pushing (as I myself wrote the code and checked the code, I kinda feel confident). But, it is not uncommon for me to forget that my access tokens are publicly accessible via my code. But, voila!!!! Git gurdian is here to assist me

It is very useful for me as a junior developer at spotting security errors that I didn't or that i'm not aware of

It is difficult to delete exposed keys from Github
