Owns the market

What differentiates Google Cloud from other similar products?
I’ve been working with Google Cloud for 2 years now, and I really like how smooth it feels. The UI is clean and easy to set up. Especially when working with complex deployments or experimenting with AI features like Google Vertex, the experience feels seamless. Compared to other platforms like AWS, it feels less complicated and much more beginner-friendly.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
What I like the most about Google Cloud is how well everything works together. Services like BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Vertex AI just connect smoothly, which makes work so much easier. I also like the built-in security and identity features—things like IAM and VPC are easy to manage once you get familiar with it. Really like the distributed tracing feature and how easy it is to implement it into your application. The traces generated are very helpful and informative. The documentation is usually clear.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The thing I find a bit frustrating is that sometimes the naming and structure of the services can be a little confusing and overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to explore something new. Also, some features feel a bit hidden unless you already know where exactly to look for.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend to start with the free tier and explore the services you actually need. Services like Cloud Run, BigQuery, or Cloud Storage are free up to a limit. Switching to paid tier makes sense when your project starts growing, as it unlocks higher usage limits and more advanced features like custom machine types in Compute Engine, auto-scaling deployments, advanced data analytics. In my opinion, Google Cloud offers the best of the market.
