What differentiates Google Cloud from other similar products?

Our 20-person company has a website that uses a mysql database. we used to run the database ourselves on a server, and it was always a pain to manage backups and updates. we moved to cloud sql.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

now, google manages the database for us. it does automatic backups and it's easy to set up a high-availability replica for failover. it gives me so much peace of mind knowing our database is being professionally managed.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is more expensive than running the database yourself. you are paying a premium for the convenience and the management. the cost for a high-availability instance can be quite high.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you don't want to be a database administrator, cloud sql is worth the extra cost.

What differentiates Google Cloud from other similar products?

It is seamless , integrated and makes things much more efficient

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The favourite aspect is that it does allow me to upload files locally , do multiple things at one go, cross functionally see each others entities and contribute in a team

What do you dislike most about this product?

The files are rather difficult to find and sometimes feel rather unorganzied and buried

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would rather recommend it to someone who is looking to manage a small with the entire google infrastructure in place
