Google Cloud’s Role in Our Infrastructure
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Google Cloud from other similar products?
The built-in AI tools, scalable networking, and rock-solid reliability make it a powerhouse for keeping our systems running with minimal downtime. And given how critical uptime is in the communications industry, that reliability is worth its weight in gold.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Few things make my life easier than Google Cloud’s automation capabilities. Take Cloud Functions, for example—it lets us deploy event-driven code without needing to babysit infrastructure. Instead of having engineers constantly monitoring and managing background processes, we automate tasks like log analysis, security alerts, and even certain customer interactions. And speaking of security, Identity and Access Management (IAM) has been a lifesaver for keeping permissions in check, ensuring only the right teams have access to sensitive resources.
What do you dislike most about this product?
If there’s one thing that could be improved, it’s the UI/UX of the Google Cloud Console.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Google Cloud has allowed us to scale operations without constantly worrying about infrastructure bottlenecks. Auto-scaling ensures we’re always running at optimal capacity without overspending on unused resources, and Kubernetes Engine has made container management practically effortless. Plus, the seamless integration with other Google services (like Workspace and Firebase) ties everything together into a cohesive system that just works.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
