My experience with Haiilo is outstanding as it meets our employee internal communication needs.

What differentiates Haiilo from other similar products?

We used Haiilo (previously) SMARP for our employee advocacy programme. Haiilo's product offering is not unique when compared to other competitors like Dynamic Signal however their pricing is/was highly competitive.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

As the admin of the programme, I enjoyed using the reporting and analytics to understand which content, users, channels and teams were performing the best. Although the back-end part of the platform is a bit "old" in its design, it is possible to get business intelligence out of it - enough to evolve and nurture your growing communities. We were also fortunate to have a very engaged and switched on CSM (customer success manager) who was able to resolve issues or find creative solutions to any challenges that came up.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There were a few things that frustrated us with the platform. Firstly, there would be regular scenarios where submitted content would fail - which is odd when all you're doing is adding a URL to a piece of content. The feedback was that my bandwidth was the issues however I use a wide range of complex platforms without issue, so this was odd. I was also disappointed that the badge/gamification system, which they'd promised to enhance, never developed beyond some basic "out of the box" badges and as mentioned above, while the data can be good, the analytics UX was quite poor.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you're looking for a low-cost solution to test the waters for employee advocacy, or, don't need anything complex, then Haiilo is a good platform to build your foundations. However, it is worth noting that there are a wide range of other providers on the market so I'd encourage you to speak with the various sales teams to understand whether or not they suit your individual situation. Overall, Haiilo's employee advocacy and amplification product is decent. However, the company has been going through a repositioning piece as it grows its internal intranet offering - so, some patience is required.
