Organizations can scale up to manage billions of objects per backup server. Clients can reduce backup infrastructure costs with built-in data efficiency capabilities and the ability to migrate or copy data to tape, public cloud services, and on-premises object storage. IBM Storage Protect can also store IBM Storage Protect Plus data, allowing companies to take advantage of their existing investment for long-term data retention and disaster recovery.

One can accelerate and use available bandwidth over high latency WAN Very easy to setup new backups

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Reduce the chance of losing data, and can access and recover necessary files even remotely.

What do you dislike most about this product?

As i dont see much negative sides but the pricing for implementation of tool can be reconsidered which is also a very very minor impact.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Consider cost as this could be the deciding factor t is very best in all four aspects like data replication

Analytics Built-in real-time and historical reporting and analytics on SLAs, performance, and resource consumption, as well as predictive capabilities to plan & optimize.

Application Awareness Application consistent backup and granular restore for application data from core applications such as MS SQL, Oracle, MS Exchange, MS SharePoint.

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.
