What differentiates MEDITECH Expanse from other similar products?

Meditech is highly functional and easy to use .It easily identifies and provide accurate diagnosis to patients.It keeps patients data safe and is very affordable product.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is easy to manage patients records and also share information with other care givers.It saves time and eliminates manual recording of data.It has also solved issues to do with communication among all health care givers.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I would love to see more customization to improve user experience.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Meditech does a great job of managing and maintain records which fits well health facilities.I do recommend it

What differentiates MEDITECH Expanse from other similar products?

Meditech is more user friendly than Cerner, but significantly less intuitive than Epic or Athena. For a simple system, it is adequate for a small rural hospital's needs.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Meditech somewhat adequately meets the needs of a small rural hospital

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is not intuitive, it is burdensome with the number of clicks needed to find appropriate information and complete a note. There are a number of items that "don't flow through" to subsequent charting. Meaningful use (or whatever the catchphrase is currently) adds a significant burden to providers and nurse's with the additional info needed to pull appropriate information by IT. When a problem is brought to IT's attention, we are perpetually told that "a ticket has been submitted," but it takes an exorbitant amount of time to receive no resolution to the problem. Fixes are not created to benefit the clinician. More upgrades to the system are available, but our IT department doesn't want to complete these steps.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Look into Epic if you are able to afford it.
