Microsoft Azure Monitor shines with its deep integration, unified observability, and intelligent automation, setting it apart from many competing tools.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The powerful real-time monitoring and analytical depth in Log Analytics and Application Insights deliver unmatched visibility into performance issues and application behavior

What do you dislike most about this product?

Azure Monitor’s fragmented and overly complex interface with multiple agents, portals, and disjointed alerting makes setup and everyday use overwhelming and unintuitive, especially for non-experts.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Define monitoring goals aligned with business KPIs, use dynamic metric thresholds and alert processing rules at scale, consolidate agents with the Azure Monitor Agent, structure your workspaces hierarchically, and automate alert responses through Logic Apps or Azure Automation for proactive, cost-effective observability.

What differentiates Microsoft Azure Monitor from other similar products?

Microsoft Azure Monitor offers real-time monitoring of all components of an application, allowing performance problems to be detected and resolved more quickly. Microsoft Azure Monitor uses artificial intelligence to automatically identify and resolve performance issues, helping reduce the workload on operations teams.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My absolute front-runner has to be their application performance monitoring (APM) system We are also using this tool to deliver an enhanced CX due to a frictionless UX and better awareness within our internal team.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Limited platform-based engagement tracking outside of D1P, lack of ownership of university space for enablement, and some confusing features are issues with extensions.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I recommend it because it offers a wide range of resources, such as documentation, tutorials, and videos, that can help you learn how to use the tool. Get acquainted with the user interface and functions of Microsoft Azure Monitor with these features.
