It helps organizations gain visibility into the performance, availability, and usage of their applications, infrastructure, and services running on Azure and in some cases, on-premises and other cloud environments.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Azure Monitor collects and analyzes data from various sources, including Azure resources, virtual machines, containers, and applications, to provide insights into the overall health and performance of the monitored systems.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Nothing to dislike as per my knowledge and experience

Custom monitoring for IaaS based workload, ease of integration with azure native offering

Azure Alert and KQL for custom monitoring

Cost of storing logs

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are azure shop the you must leverage azure native cloud monitoring which comes with lots of inbuild features. only ensure you do little planning on log storage.
