What differentiates Microsoft SQL Server from other similar products?

High Performance and scalability options. A large amount of growing data can be handled effortlessly. The in-memory processing feature boosts the performance of the query.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Direct integration with other products like PowerBI, Direct querying, and visualization can be done from other products of the Microsoft ecosystem and in many other cloud platforms. Indexing, column stores, etc provides exceptional query optimization.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is a bit issue with platform dependency as they work well on Windows but on the platforms like Linux, mac the full capacity and features may not be available as in Windows.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

MS SQL knowledge is a must for any person in the data field. Make efforts to learn it at least up to the intermediate level.

What differentiates Microsoft SQL Server from other similar products?

Microsoft SQL Server is the leader in its market. It is a well known by professionals.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Microsoft SQL Server is able to handle large amount of data and queries. It is great for data integrations.

What do you dislike most about this product?

We have experienced issues with how microsoft SQL server is using storage and memory, while after a shrink or reset the issues are resolved. Therefore technically there should be sufficient space, however MS SQL server seems to be handling it in a inefficient manner.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Determine the size of the data involved. For smaller databases, another product could be considered.
