Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is an enterprise endpoint security platform designed to help enterprise networks prevent, detect, investigate, and respond to advanced threats. Defender for Endpoint customers need to apply for the Microsoft Threat Experts managed threat hunting service to get proactive Targeted Attack Notifications and to collaborate with experts on demand. Experts on Demand is an add-on service. Targeted Attack Notifications are always included after you have been accepted into Microsoft Threat Experts managed threat hunting service.

What differentiates Microsoft Defender for Endpoint from other similar products?

1. Very accurate in generating false positive alerts while doing threat detection. 2. Configurations and ,management o fplatform is easy and a quick job . 3. Simple to detect,respond and prevent security threats quickly.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The best part is centralized management place for monitoring security across Azure resources

What do you dislike most about this product?

1. Microsoft design this product mainly for its own cloud which is azure and really not helpful with others like AWS. 2. Very version is for 1 month only.

What differentiates Microsoft Defender for Endpoint from other similar products?

1- quick and automatic to scan virus and protect files. 2. Everything is inbuilt with the OS we don't need to put extra efforts to contact any third party vendor for support. 3. Handling vulnerabilities, blocking and giving suggestion is easy and effective.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Perfectly compatible with all the Windows operating system

What do you dislike most about this product?

Not very much happy about the reporting and information of the detected vulnerabilities. From last few time many false alerts issues we faced on this.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Good and simply deployed antivirus

What differentiates Microsoft Defender for Endpoint from other similar products?

The integration with the Microsoft XDR platform is great and becomes better over time. Seamless integration with Sentinel and easy of quering with the KQL langiuage

deploying EDR on server platform

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

start with a small poc, check for performance and detection quality ... built it out in rings from there
