What differentiates Microsoft Project from other similar products?

The greatest strength of Microsoft Project comes in the name. Microsoft develops some of the most popular and effective tools for modern businesses. Project integrates extremely seamlessly into the overall Microsoft ecosystem of work. This enables the platform to truly maximize on all the efficiencies created by keeping your work within one platform.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I really like template that are provided by Microsoft Project, it is highly customized to my project objective and my liking. The feature that i use the most can be pinned on the dashboard interface and keep it organized. Most of the user are using it, and there are no issue to shares the project file to my other colleague and they can open it without any compatibility problem.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is nothing worth mentioning, I have used Microsoft Project daily for many years, and I did not find any technical problems in it, and all the results that I get by using it, are considered accurate and reflect the reality of the work in the project.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Microsoft project leads to business profitable state by saving time to market by providing advance project management tool. Microsoft Project provides the best tool for design work schedules, monitor project % completion, and maintain control.

Predecessors function, efforts loading analysis, feasibility to manage muitiple baseline dates

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Feels like a simple excel like tool with all the required features to run a project end to end along with the planning of tasks, resources, cost and milestones, dependencies etc.

What do you dislike most about this product?

A bit difficult to learn initially as some complexity is there to master the product

Good tool to have detailed view of the project with control over the tasks, resources and timelines

Microsoft Project & Portfolio Management allows you to track your project and find the best path to success. It allows us to visualize the path forward and see what needs to be done now.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Project Portfolio management helps to easily make different portfolios against the strategy of the business and consider the cost against the resource constraint attractive dashboard to view reports and Easy customization . Along with this we can manage our project activities at one place.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The suite needs to mature further specific to EPCI industry and also needs to build risk matrix like Primavera and other costing tools for better representation of the Budgets.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Very flexible and integrated into the Microsoft suite, which makes it easy to use, build cost competitively, and analyze deviations. As we are mostly working of various Microsoft tools (Microsoft 365, Dynamics, etc) we get great collaboration and productivity.
