What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?

Microsoft Sharepoint is undoubtedly the most complete program we have to carry out multiple activities and manage all the work operations of my company. With the help of this program I have the ability to increase the productivity of the resources and applications that I have in my system to the management of my work, in addition to allowing me to be in contact and share each of the files and work with my work team to control and respond to the workload, there are many functions that we have in this program to consolidate all the departments of my company and have a professional presence on the web with fundamental options.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What I like about this program is the breadth of its options and abilities that I have in my power to fully control the development of my work, I have never had a program before that will provide me with such high profile application and website support corporate, Microsoft Sharepoint is a program that helps as much as possible for the flow and continuous rhythm of work, all my work documents deserve to be treated and organized in the best way and with the support of this program I can exploit each one of them. they with a large list of options that build perhaps the best program that we can implement for business management.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There are many skills and multiple steps to make good use of each of these applications in this program, the problem arises with the difficulty of manipulating each of them, that is, in our case this program is one of the most difficult to be able to use in its entirety, I have a long experience with programs of this type and I can say that this is by far the best but it is also the most difficult to apply and teach my co-workers.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Recommending Microsoft Sharepoint means wanting to help other users to have a great business management power, since this program will provide all types of companies with a large number of options to manage and manipulate their data and be much more assertive in their jobs. , this program is the key to building a better work infrastructure, in addition to being accessible to small businesses.

Sharepoint is our workflow add-on

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?

We use MS SharePoint in different departments and in some cases in the whole organization. We use Nintex workflow in conjunction with MS SharePoint to facilitate processes and file sharing. We also developed several forms and web pages that we use to work on single projects. In the beginning, when we started using SharePoint about two years ago, people didn't know they were using a SharePoint site. Today, we receive daily requests for new sites to be built. Sites are easily built and delivered to users, who can then modify the site to suit their business needs.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Reports and views are simple to use and create, allowing users to create their own reports as needed. We can send alerts when action is required, send documents to approval processes and file documents that conform to government regulations. This is just a small part of a big problem when it comes to workflow. We are fascinated by the ease with which InfoPath allows the creation of a standardized form. This allows us to collect and store necessary information that is often not accompanied by a document.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Sometimes it is a problem and there are many search settings that can be modified and changed, but this creates confusion and sometimes the search actually affects the speed of the sites, this is due to the way it is configured. Making the search settings simpler would be extraordinary. We currently use another MS program called InfoPath form for all our forms. The fate of InfoPath forms has been uncertain at times. Currently, there are several forms programs that run on SharePoint, however, it would be more beneficial if it were a part of the SharePoint software package.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Great for sharing and monitoring documents, forms are nice, but what's wrong with workflow? The unification with other MS products is simple and easy to use. If I wanted to recommend something, it would be nice if the calendar integration with Outlook was more effective. When you use Outlook to organize your calendars and then integrate it, you can only access the Outlook options. For example, if you create a calendar event in Outlook, you are limited to the fields that Outlook provides, however, if you create the calendar event in SharePoint, you can create new fields that are not present in Outlook.
