What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?

Native integration with Microsoft Office Suite that supports mobile, desktop and web with single sign-on. Wide array of extensibility/integration options with workflow, reporting, analytics and machine learning/teaching tools. Hundreds of pre-built connectors to integrate with1st and 3rd party products. Data can be accessed securely via Graph REST API. Support for decentralized content management.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

SharePoint Online does not require any software installation. Pre-built design templates for various use cases accelerate time to value. Microsoft Graph allows for delivering personalized experience. Content can be automatically processed, organized and classified by using Microsoft Syntex. Content discovery is made easy with Viva Topics.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Advanced capabilities like Topics and automatic content processing come at a premium price. Compliance is also a separate SKU.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Consider the total cost of ownership and see how consolidation can help bring down the cost. A single platform can reduce the administrative, training costs as well make it easier for end users to go to a single destination instead of bouncing to different platforms to do their work which breaks the flow and hurts productivity.

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?

It is simple to automate, list, store, and transmit work to workers. There are numerous templates available for simple branding and themeing.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Collaboration Tools Access to Controls/Permissions Document and File Management

What do you dislike most about this product?

I occasionally get issues when building Sharepoint pages, such as the inability to include images or adjust the number of columns.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are looking for an easy tool for collaboration with your Team. Sharepoint should be at the top of your list.
