What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?

Other than being a Microsoft product, Sharepoint lacks differentiators when compared to other cloud storage platforms.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Compared to Microsoft OneDrive (intended mainly for personal storage), SharePoint offers a collaborative platform for easier sharing of folders and simultaneous editing of the Word / Excel files.

What do you dislike most about this product?

SharePoint has one of the most expensive storage costs: $60\GB\month, which discourages organizational use for larger files.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Keeping in mind the high storage costs, I would recommend looking for cheaper cloud storage alternatives or developing an in-house storage solution.

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?

It integrates pretty well with the other Microsoft products

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

To be able to integrate with One Drive and other products of Microsoft

What do you dislike most about this product?

It's clunky. Its not as aesthetically pleasing as other platforms. It feels very beta.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are looking for something more robust for file sharing and storing, I would consider a Docuware or OnBase product.

It offers an extensive range of features, can integrate with Office 365 and can be customised easily.

Integration with other systems (i.e. CRM tools or SAP)

a bit messy, expensive implementation

Decision should depend upon your business needs, size, and budget.
