Cost Efficient Backup Built for MSPs and SMBs

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates MSP360 Managed Backup from other similar products?

MSP360 stands out for its storage-agnostic architecture, MSP-first design, and pricing transparency. You get to choose your own cloud storage (AWS, Wasabi, Backblaze, Azure, or local), giving you total control over costs and data sovereignty—unlike most bundled, locked-in platforms.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of the product is the ability to bring your own cloud storage is the biggest win. You can mix and match low-cost providers like Wasabi or Backblaze B2 to optimize cost and performance while keeping full control over where your clients’ data lives.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The user interface, while functional, feels dated and a bit clunky—especially in the web portal. Initial configuration can also be overwhelming for newcomers due to the breadth of settings and lack of guided setup. Also, the lack of deep Microsoft Teams or OneDrive for Business backup granularity puts it behind competitors like AvePoint or Veeam in M365 support.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take time to evaluate your preferred cloud storage provider, Use the free trial or demo environment, Regularly test your restore procedures and also pair with endpoint security tools

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Trustworthy

Secure Backups, Empowered Data, Endless Confidence

Likeliness to Recommend

8 /10

What differentiates MSP360 Managed Backup from other similar products?

MSP360 Managed Backup stands out in its ability to provide users with the full flexibility of a backup solution that stores files in one of the Amazon S3, Google Cloud, and Azure. For this reason, the centralized management interface integrates different backups, making it easier not to work with many applications. The scheduling and versioning options also allow users to set up numerous schedules for periodic backups within the confines of the platform, to guarantee that critical data is retrievable in a systematic manner.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

MSP360 has a great structure that is flexible yet facilitated to the core, with the setting up of various backup policies for various users/departments, etc. Its incremental backups are useful in conserving bandwidth and storage space, since the backup only the recent changes made.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Despite the fact that MSP360 Managed Backup has a relatively simple interface, an improved analytical power is needed to identify potential issues on the side of the usage of the tool. A more granulated kind of an alerting system might also help in identifying and disseminating a problem or an anomaly concerning the backups within the shortest time possible, rather than daily digest.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

MSP360 Managed Backup is the safety net that is required for our business for protecting vital financial and customer information. The manner through which it operates to schedule for backups and the swift manner in which disaster recovery takes place eases my worries by ensuring the data is secure. MSP360's ability to integrate with different storage has made it easy for us needing to design architectures, and more time can be spent on product development and operations than worrying whether the backup solution will stand or not.

  • Helps Innovate
