What differentiates OpenText Software Delivery Management from other similar products?

It saves a lot of time and money by being a two-in-one tool that can record defects and create narrative.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What we like best about this instrument is the ability to collaborate with all of the sector's leaders in order to provide the highest level of cost and service to our own customers. Consultants respond quickly to our questions.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Is a belated response that comes far too late. ALM Octane can look to Jira and RallyDev for guidance, as they've been there for a long time and have established norms.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If the roadmap and vision of your team resembles what is required together with the software, you should try it

What differentiates OpenText Software Delivery Management from other similar products?

ALM Octane was a good replacement for ALM HP which was the old version of the tool which was more of manual Testing tool, meanwhile ALM Octane enables you automate the testing process and also allows you to directly write the test cases on the platform unlike ALM Hp which you had to write Test cases on an excel sheet offline the go through a complex upload process.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

ALM Octane supports Gherkin Language which allows you to write test cases and Scenarios using user stories and epics, which can be automated during the test process. Also it integrates requirements and defect management into Software Life-cycle which leverages traceability to ensure Quality of the Software

What do you dislike most about this product?

It has a learning curve, anyone new to Software testing tools will require a training session in order to know how to navigate and use the application. Its not a straight forward user interface that anyone can know how to use at a glance.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you want to implement Agile process , ALM Octane is the best tool for continuous integration , automated Testing and release management.

What differentiates OpenText Software Delivery Management from other similar products?

Unlike other microfocus products, it has numerous sections for requirements, deficiencies, test labs for running test cases, and test projects for storing test cases. In addition, the notification mechanism and reporting functions are also competitive.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Setting up and managing test cases and test labs is pretty easy. It contains everything for every need, such as test requirements, traceability matrix, test cases, defect panels, plan panels, studies and much more

What do you dislike most about this product?

The only problem we encountered is that the server tends to get slow, which causes us to lag a little behind in the tests, but the rest of the product is admirable.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

We have the opportunity to recommend it because it is a pretty good test management tool that allows it to keep up with work, which makes handling and recording problems and data very easy
