What differentiates Oracle Talent Management from other similar products?

Oracle has a comprehensive suite of HR management applications. It integrates all HR processes, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation management, learning management, and succession planning into one unified platform.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Its intuitive performance management system. It allows managers to easily set goals, track progress, and provide feedback to their team members.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The complexity of its compensation management module. It requires a deep understanding of compensation structures and can be difficult for non-HR users to navigate. However, this can be mitigated by proper training and the availability of robust user guides and support resources.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I just recommend that organizations invest in training and support resources to ensure a successful implementation and optimal use of the product.

What differentiates Oracle Talent Management from other similar products?

It is a super complete tool, which allows integration with other software and is 100% customizable to our business needs.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What I like the most about using Oracle is that whenever we need to modify something in our visual to improve usability, it becomes possible. So far, there have been no issues with changes and this is an important factor for my organization.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Oracle has an old visual, it looks like a software that is not updated. However, it is only its appearance because all its features are up to date and working properly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are looking for software that simulates the entire environment necessary for Talent Acquisition, that is customizable and easy to use, Oracle is a good solution.

What differentiates Oracle Talent Management from other similar products?

Oracle Talent Management Cloud is a great system if you're in a bureaucratic environment where you need a dozen levels of permissions and things move awfully slow. If you're used to working quickly and fulfilling the needs of your role in a timely manner and open to doing things on an individual level as needed without having to follow a checklist, steer away from this product. I've used everything from proprietary systems at large 100k+ people organizations, Workday, Salesforce for recruiting to greenhouse, lever, and even excel sheets for Talent Management. I would not recommend Oracle Talent Management Cloud.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Reporting has a lot of options. I love numbers and data and reporting. The reporting system here is clunky and keeps crashing and so slow. But when it works, I like it.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Everything. Literally, everything. I now ask during the interview process what Talent Management system is being used. When I hear it's Taleo, I refuse to interview any further. No thank you. It's an impediment to my workflow and tells me a lot about the organization processes and culture.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I recommend you look into other options. There are plenty more options for robust Talent Management systems that also integrate with the HRIS that are much quicker in developing and releasing features/updates and keeping up with changing processes. Taleo is not it.
