What differentiates Outreach from other similar products?

The number of other tools they integrate with is a huge differentiator. You'll find many other Sales tools you end up using have integrations with Outreach, making it that much easier to automate across platforms.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I was an end user of Outreach for 2.5 years, then an admin for another 2. It was a simple, flexible tool as an end user. Most things you want to be able to do, you can do. As an admin, it is easy to maintain and manage. I haven't had to edit our original setup in quite some time.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It isn't the most intuitive when you first starting it as an end user because it's so flexible in nature, meaning there are a bunch of settings you have access to that may be overwhelming. With a good training and enablement person, this goes away after the user plays with the tool.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Definitely go for it. I've used it at 2 companies, and have never been upset with the platform.

Every Sales Team Needs Outreach

What differentiates Outreach from other similar products?

The Outreach tool has everything a sales team needs to be successful from prospect engagement to following deals all the way through. Other tools do not have multi-step sequences with new threads and calling as well as LinkedIn.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Intuitive tools that include snippets and templates as well as sequences for any event that your company puts on. There are different ways to customize and consulting with the outreach experts has helped me understand how to leverage the tools and features in general.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Outreach Kai recording still needs to be built out at this time. It is in its early stages of development and needs to be built out some more before its released to sales teams. For example, it will keep announcing during a meeting with prospects when they join and at this time the transcription services still need improvements.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ensure that you have a dedicated person to build this out and they have access to all the 3rd party tools that you can connect to it - Salesforce and LinkedIn. It is also valuable to really maximize the consulting sessions with the outreach team.

What differentiates Outreach from other similar products?

I've yet to use competitors to Outreach.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Not the most intuitive, but once you chat with CS, they can show you features that make this the most helpful platform in your sales set up. Once you've got that sorted, you can move on to exploring more features. I just found out that you can edit emails in a sequence specific to a prospect without changing the entire sequence! I only wish I learned it earlier, because as far as I know there is no way to make future edits after you've added them into the sequence (without some complicated work arounds). Highly recommend playing around and clicking every single button and check box you find, as well as playing with settings and filters.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Search bar is very picky when it comes to spelling. You can't put "John S" and expect John Smith to pop up. There's also a formatting issue when it comes to copying and pasting text (even when pasted unformatted), but you will only be able to see that by checking the outbox of your email client. An issue a few of us had was Outreach "disconnecting" with Gmail despite showing an indication that they were still synced. The solution was essentially "turn it off and on again" (disconnect and uninstall Chrome extension). Minor issue for a new user may be that the icons are inconsistent across the platform (i.e. Templates, Tasks).

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Have an idea of what workflow you want ahead of time, rather than having Outreach lead you.
