What differentiates Palo Alto Network Security NGFW from other similar products?

Palo Alto's App ID functionality surpasses that of competitors such as Cisco and Check Point. It conducts thorough application inspections, observes their behavior, and implements appropriate measures based on its findings.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Easy to Manage, More deep Inspection, Simple GUI Interface and east to deploy

What do you dislike most about this product?

CLI configuration should have been easier. Some features like User ID and VPN are quite complex to implement via GUI and they could have been simpler.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If buying for your company go ahead. Palo Alto’s updates are great and with training engineers can manage complex features easily

Palo Alto NGFW can identify and control applications, even if they’re disguised as something else. This level of granularity helps businesses block malicious apps effectively.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The initial setup and fine-tuning can be bit complex, especially for organizations without dedicated security teams

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Highly recommended – it’s a reliable and scalable solution, but it requires a knowledgeable team to manage and configure effectively.

It's application-based policy control, threat intelligence from Wildfire and deep traffic inspection without compromising performance.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The Application-Based Control is my Favorite feature, as it allows precise management of traffic based on applications rather than just ports and protocols.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The high cost and complex initial configuration can be a challenge, especially for small and mid-sized businesses.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If your organization needs advanced security with deep visibility, Palo Alto NGFW is excellent choice. However, ensure you have experienced IT staff to handle the setup and management.
