What differentiates PTC Arena from other similar products?

Arena PLM has great capabilities for managing the product lifecycle through development phases and for change management in the implementation phases of manufacturing. It even has great capabilities for keeping compliance standards.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like that you can pull in parts with lots of specifications from National Vendors using part saver.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It functions great if your database was organized, setup, and executed well, but if you need to redo your database like we are doing it is practically impossible to work between two workspaces and download and upload clean data without having issues. One main issue we are having is that all our files reference old Arena workspace numbers and the new Arena workspace doesn't allow us to match up file #'s (just item #'s). Arena populates some fields, but there are way too many screens to navigate the way Arena has setup its database services.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Do not setup your new workspace with too many click throughs, but that is hard to do.

Ease of use and information gathering

What do you dislike most about this product?

When a software upgrade is done, it can also change the look and feel I was used to, and sometimes this change is not always welcomed

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Definitely request a demo, view the added value to your organization with respect to your PLM tool, with your product specifications, and management all inclusive and in one place for easy retrieval
