What differentiates Rapid7 Managed Detection and Response from other similar products?

Not sure about other products that offer the same service but MDR depends a lot on your in-house products and how you create the alerts.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Resolution of issues and threat research that I don't need to do.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It needs more native integration.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Make sure to follow the company manual and activate all off the box alerts to have an idea of how those alerts integrate with your environment.

Rapid7 MDR is a powerful solution that empowers my team to focus on strategic security initiatives while feeling confident our critical systems are protected. While not without its limitations, the value it brings outweighs the drawbacks for my organization.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Limited Visibility Options: Reporting could be more granular for deeper analysis. Price Point: Can be cost-prohibitive for smaller organizations. False Positives: Occasional tuning needed to minimize alert fatigue.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Powerful MDR solution with strong detection and response capabilities. Great for organizations with the budget and technical resources to manage it effectively.

Rapid7 Managed Detection and Response came with unparalleled support staff. We can't say enough good things about our vendor support.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Getting weekly reports with quantifiable risk scores allows us to focus our efforts in a planned and common sense approach, as opposed to the old method of wading through a dark rom.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is nothing I would list as a dislike.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Work with your vendor.....see what other items they offer so that you could potentially bundle many packages together. This is the route we went, and I believe it allows for us to get the best support.
