What differentiates ServiceNow Software Asset Management from other similar products?

ServiceNow Software Asset Management leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate workflows, provide actionable insights, and deliver outcomes faster. I believe that the AI could play a crucial role in the upcoming trends which could help the users.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

One of my favourite aspects of ServiceNow Software Asset Management product is its ability to optimize software spending and reduce compliance risk. With ServiceNow SAM, I can easily track and manage the software licenses across the entire lifecycle, from procurement to retirement. I can also leverage the powerful analytics and automation features to identify unused or underused software, reclaim licenses, and negotiate better contracts with vendors. ServiceNow SAM helps me save time and money while ensuring compliance with software policies and regulations.

What do you dislike most about this product?

One of the things I dislike about ServiceNow Software Asset Management product is that it can be very complex and difficult to configure. It requires a lot of customization and integration with other systems to achieve the desired results. The product also has a steep learning curve and can be overwhelming for new users. Additionally, the product can be expensive and may not provide enough value for some organizations.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Implementing a different software request portal that allows users to leverage software purchases and installations through a self-service interface.

What differentiates ServiceNow Software Asset Management from other similar products?

I like the fact as a Digital Asset Manager responsible for both hardware and software assets I have all the information including procurement of products centralised in one application

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ability to create workflows to reduce the amount of manual input/duplication of work that can occur and stream lining processes to be more effective and automated

What do you dislike most about this product?

Due, to the popularity of the product it is hard to find developers to help enhance the full potential of this product

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Speak to users of the system ask them for demo’s of how they use the system, it is good to see how other companies actually use the product. You can also learn from their errors and how they would do thing differently after reflecting on the product
