What differentiates SonicWall Network Security Manager from other similar products?

When compared to most of other firewalls, SonicWALL logging is much better. it is much easy to understand sonicWALL logs and faster fix to any problem. When it comes to site to site VPN feature, SonicWALL is better and more reliable. Connectivity is more stable and VPN won't disconnects that often.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Dashboard with all widgets will give proper information and visibility on what is happening in your network. URL filtering works like a charm. with other vendors it's bit difficult to configure and not consistent. with direct simple click from Logs we can fix the issues.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Their Licensing is bit expensive when compared other vendors. When compared to FortiGate SD WAN, sonicWALL has to improve their SD WAN capabilities.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

SonicWALL has to loose SSL VPN license option and should provide for free based on Hardware Specifications like FortiGate and Sophos. Now everything is on 10 G Links, SonicWALL small appliances also should offer 10 G FIber links. Now only NSA or High end firewalls have this feature. SD WAN feature can be much better and need to work on it.

Comprehensive and flexible Security Management: NSM provides centralized, easy, and comprehensive management of devices/solutions. Multiple SonicWall appliances including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points can be managed from a single console, which eases the administration tasks and improves operational efficiency. The NSM differentiates itself by providing comprehensive security management, scalability, granular policy control, real-time monitoring and reporting, integration with the SonicWall ecosystem, and strong security capabilities.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Robust security features built on a very strong architecture. The RFDPI is one of the differentiating baselines, The VPN capability of SonicWALL is notable compared to any other similar solution with hardly any failure. The ease of use and intuitive interface is highly appreciated. Their commitment to stay ahead of the curve is highly valued with steady progress. The partner ecosystem should not be forgotten, with a very strong partner network who are technically sound and well informed about the updates helps customers choose SonicWALL.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Having followed SonicWall for years as a security evangelist, I have witnessed their presence and contributions in the industry for 30+ years. They developed commendable solutions that were ahead of the competitors in the past, the evolving market dynamics and the emergence of new players have presented challenges. To further strengthen its position in the competitive landscape, SonicWall could focus on expanding its market reach and fostering stronger partner ecosystems globally. By strategically enhancing its presence and building robust partnerships, it can solidify its competitive edge and ensure innovative solutions to a wider audience.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Consider evaluating SonicWall's solutions, as it is a go-to solution for organizations seeking robust security measures to address today's evolving threats.
