What differentiates Sophos Firewall from other similar products?

The pricing terms of sophos firewalls is very much affordable not like from their competitor which are very expensive

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like it's overall protection from network threat attack. It has good reporting features which keeps all you details on alert mode. I like the intuitive interface which allows one to manage network security with ease. It's vpn support allows remote connection and connection ensuring you can protect and view your network at any place. The advantage of this tool is that you can set which apps to access your network through app filtering mode.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Delayed quality user support from sophos technical eam hence Incase of critical issues it may hinder you from securing your network fully

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are looking for a good network and security tool for your organization don't look further and get services of sophos firewall

What differentiates Sophos Firewall from other similar products?

Sophos has been our provider of firewalls for multiple clients for years. It has been reliable and has not allowed and virus or ransomware outbreaks while we had in use. They have been our number one source for firewall solutions mainly due to the relationship we have built with their sales and support staff.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The administrative console is easy to navigate and allows us to make NAT and firewall rules quickly. We like the web interface and is easy to teach to other techs. The security issues are patched very quickly when there is a vulnerability detected. We like how we can manage the firewalls from the sophos management portal.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The support cases can sometimes sit without a reply. We have had a few instances where the firmware updates made the firewall lose it's configuration. We have had to be careful now when we update as it has been causing issues with applications and also with HA availability. The logs do not show all the connection issues that can arise. The knowledge base articles are too vague and are not updated regularly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take the time to look into all the firewall options available. Check on pricing and see what would best fit the need of the client. Take training courses or look into resources online to gain knowledge of Sophos firewall before you put into production. Check firewall reviews and see which ones have performed best against certain scenarios.
