What differentiates SS&C Blue Prism Enterprise from other similar products?

Blue prism is the base rpa tool that has evolved in the market right at the start of rpa world. It has got the best security environment in terms of data handling while using the product. Easy to get adapted to for new rpa developer or controller members . Good community help available for any queries related to the tool. Blueprism is expanding it’s horizons horizontally by inculcating ML and AI for document processing. Flexibility of having the tool on premise and cloud should be present currently having only on premise version. Connectors are being created in digital exchange should be added for accessing different platforms.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Having separate layers for application interaction and for having business logic gives flexibility of reusing existing objects. Having environment variables and session variables gives the flexibility of updating values at any point of time without updating the code. Very easy look and field inorder to understand a flow that has been created on a glance is the best part. Powerful exception handling and flexibility to create custom exception types in the flow makes ease for end user friendly status for a work item.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Custom data types can’t be created though we’ve wide range of data types handling the data a custom data type creation would help at the time of development. No inbuilt IDP available which makes it weaker. A new tool called decipher is being embedded now for IDP processing for which again we need separate connectors. On premise tool installation of the application needs good amount of RAM and hard disk In-order to have smooth run of a process developed.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Blueprism is one of the leaders in RPA market is easy to get adapted with. Just a few clicks to get this installed. It’s very powerful interms of security. It’s horizons are being expanded in terms of AI and ML integration which is a world trend now. There are areas which should be improvised when it comes to documents processing. It’s a pretty good tool for automation of on premise windows, web, mainframe, sap, outlook, excel, word, Database automations. It has got decent options available for automating above stated applications.

What differentiates SS&C Blue Prism Enterprise from other similar products?

From a security perspective this is the best RPA tool in the market, every action is automatically logged and this will provide audit trail.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favourite is the Intelligent execution technology, we can prioritize the bots based on the criticality and SLA. For critical process we can provide access to the business to the control room so that they will be able to get the real time status of the critical process.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I felt like they are way behind the AI/ML side compared to other RPA tools and Onboarding the tool is also bit complex compared to other RPA tools. Also the online community is a sleeping community not that active.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For finance related process this is the best RPA tool.
