What differentiates Tacton CPQ from other similar products?

Tacton has the platform to develop and provide more interactive configurators with instant image rendering of selections as well has the capability to integrate with 3D softwares like SOLIDWorks, CREO, etc. and generate 3D models and and drawings based on the configuration inputs. In addition to proposal quote document, this also generates proposal drawings Which is the unique selling point. In an industry where proposal drawings may take upto a week's time, this can bring down that time to a day Max. This serves as a complete package.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Able to perform selection calculations in the model using inbuilt functions as well a using custom functions coded using Javascript based on individual requirements. This helps in building complex selection calculations.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Needs better, easier and faster integrating capabilities with other platforms like CRM and ERP.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This is a complete package which supports in both quote preparation as well as design automation with drawing preparation.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Tacton is technology leader in complex product configuration, Tacton CPQ is always improving and they have systematically built the most knowledgeable and talented community around them.

What do you dislike most about this product?

CRM - CPQ and CPQ - PLM integrations and end-to-end concept could need some improvement. The product should not be developed as a point solution for configuration only.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Product configuration engine is critical part of manufacturing CPQ solution and this capability should never be overlooked. CPQ implementation always starts from product data and end-to-end data flow definitions, including ordering phase. Find knowledgeable implementation partners who are able to give guidance.
