What differentiates Tally ERP 9 from other similar products?

Simplicity & User-Friendly Interface Tally ERP 9 is designed for accountants and business owners—not just IT professionals. Its keyboard-driven navigation and intuitive layout make it easy to use even for non-technical users. Robust Accounting Core Unlike many ERP solutions that treat accounting as just one module, Tally’s strength lies in its deep, native accounting and financial management capabilities.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Tally ERP 9 is its unmatched simplicity combined with powerful accounting capabilities. It allows us to manage invoicing, inventory, and statutory compliance all from a single platform—with minimal training. The ability to customize reports using TDL and the flexibility to work offline are particularly valuable for our business operations.

What do you dislike most about this product?

What I dislike most about Tally ERP 9 is its outdated user interface and limited cloud capabilities. While the system is powerful, the UI can feel unintuitive for new users and lacks the modern design found in other ERP platforms. Additionally, native integration with other tools or real-time remote access often requires third-party support or complex workarounds.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you’re considering Tally ERP 9, make sure your team needs strong accounting functionality more than modern cloud features. It’s an excellent choice for businesses that want reliable, offline-first operations with deep GST and compliance support. However, be prepared for a steeper learning curve if you're used to modern UI or want out-of-the-box integrations. Also, consider investing in some initial training or customization via TDL to get the most out of it.

What differentiates Tally ERP 9 from other similar products?

It is easier to use & learn comparing to other ERP. It has minimalistic functions. It’s a best and cheap ERP tool for small organisations.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

We can edit & delete Journal Entries & any posted documents. Simple to use. It has no codes. We can take online help if we are stuck somewhere.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It lacks of security. It does not tell who is posting entries or documents. There will be no update after tally prime. It is only for smaller organisations it lacks features for complex accounting.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It’s a go to solution for small firms it will fulfil their needs for a cheap price.
