Great tool to jump start your automation testing

What differentiates TestComplete from other similar products?

Good support for Desktop and Mobile applications. Good AI for locating changes in the AUT.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The AI that locates components, even when there were changes, saves a lot of time for test maintenance.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Could be better support for shell scripting in tests.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you need to test Desktop or Mobile apps, this is a pretty good tool. If you need to test a Web UI, there are a lot of cheaper or even free alternatives. Consider TestComplete if you need to quickly start automation testing and don't have experienced people on the team. The record and replay functionality would make it easier for people who are new to automated testing.

What differentiates TestComplete from other similar products?

You really don't have to know a coding language to get rolling writing tests. It's easy to write...but maintenance is another issue.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The ease of getting started with writing tests.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It freezes at times when tests are running - not good

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take a look at the entire market - there are more customizable tools out there. I'm not a big believer in record/replay-type tools. The maintenance of tests is usually a massive headache.
