What differentiates TrakSYS from other similar products?

TrakSYS consolidates years of MES development practices without restricting the system too much. It has a solid core of features that will be present in any MES implementation, like realiable real-time data collection, native oee calculation, spc and mtbf, and great support for external systems integration. But it does this in a way that also makes it easy (and almost intuitive) to extend the system functionalities to support special business rules.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love the fact that they care about quality. They take some time to deliver new features, but when they deliver, I can trust it.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The cost and hardware requirements are prohibitive for medium sized, and even some large companies.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

TrakSYS is great if you want to build resilient MES systems that resists through decades. Pay for it once, and forget about it for a long time. But due to the flexibility that the product provides, you should rely on experienced professionals to implement it using good practices, following the vendor philosophy of paced and reliable progress.

TrakSYS provides and integrate various feature in a single platform such as Batch record processing, OEE, Inventory management, asset management, scheduling and many other features.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

From the perspective of medical device manufacturing or GMP, TrakSYS provides several valuable features. Notably, it ensures regulatory compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, offers real-time data capture for batch recording, and enhances traceability, all of which are highly favored for improving quality control.

What do you dislike most about this product?

From a product features standpoint, TrakSYS MES provides a robust and comprehensive platform that effectively meets key operational and compliance needs. However, there is room for improvement in the internal code editor and source code change tracking. Since the editor is built into the platform, better version control and visibility would enhance the development effort for custom logic or scripting within TrakSYS and support efficient configuration management.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

With the background in medical device manufacturing, TrakSYS offers excellent compliance features, including audit tracking and electronic signatures. Additionally, TrakSYS provides numerous MES features and integrates seamlessly with other popular platforms like ERP and other systems.
