What differentiates Trellix DLP from other similar products?

It is integrated in the same ePO console where you manage any other Trellix products.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Easy to deploy once you have the Trellix agent installed on the endpoints.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Policies not easy to create and test. Integration with third parties is almost impossible.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is a good option to start if you already have something from Trellix, if not, look for another product.

Unlike other tools that feel like generic solutions slapped onto your network, Trellix DLP feels purpose-built for environments like ours, where trade secrets, CAD designs, and operational data flow daily. It's not just about stopping leaks; it’s about enabling the IT team to anticipate and neutralize threats without stifling productivity.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

One feature that has consistently stood out for me is the detailed forensic logging. It’s not just the “who” and “what” of a potential breach but also the “how” and “why.” When we identified an engineer inadvertently attempting to email an unencrypted BOM file, Trellix’s audit trail made it easy to see this wasn’t malicious but a misstep. The ability to turn potential crises into teachable moments has been invaluable.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Occasionally, the notifications can border on overzealous.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It’s reassuring to know that we have a system in place that keeps intellectual property secure without becoming a bottleneck. Beyond compliance with ISO standards, it has cultivated a culture of security awareness in the company, with employees more mindful of how they handle data.
