What differentiates TriNet HR Platform from other similar products?

Great for bundling lots of HR tasks into one platform. Payroll was easy to use, we were able to integrate background checks, hiring / onboarding, 401k, and other features into one easy to use platform.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ease of use and setup.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Support was very slow to respond and difficult to get ahold of. This makes things that are time sensitive (like processing payroll or tax document creation) particularly stressful.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Consider to what extent you may need to access support, because the response time is very slow.

What differentiates TriNet HR Platform from other similar products?

Zenefits has a very innovative and contemporary "feel" to it, and they are always increasing the breadth of their product/application offerings for their customers. Since being acquired by Trinet I have consistently seen that they continue to develop tools and internal "tiles' you can add and that they have not lost any momentum while being under new ownership. They also have a some great features including a podcast and regular articles and informational emails regarding compliance and handbook-building tools and other HR news.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love how consistent the product is in the the things that I use it for on a daily basis. Once I got over the learning curve (by having several sessions with one of their trainers which was actually really fun and informative) I was able to use it every day to accomplish my tasks and answer questions I had. I used the Custom Email triggers, Reporting, and benefits administration all the time. I also used the compliance assistant and ACA programs within Zenefits regularly too. For my role in the company it was a great tool that I use all the time.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Very recently our company seemed to be having a lot of issues with trying to resolve technical problems like when we pushed documents out for signatures and they got lost/blocked on accident by their own internal servers. As a single user I always was able to do what I wanted, but when we pushed things out to the entire company or needed to change something with onboarding.. I feel like we hit some obstacles along the way and we had troubleshooting tickets open all the time. Their team was always friendly and eager/happy to help, but it did feel like it took many emails back and forth sometimes and took several days to reach closure.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Zenefits is an incredibly versatile product, and they are definitely on the cutting edge with unique offerings and capabilities. We first signed with them as our HRIS when we were a much smaller company. We currently have 250 employees, and while there are much much large companies using Zenefits, I am sure, because we needed a lot more nuance and granular modifications or customization, we had decided to move to another vendor. That being said, as a user I was always very pleased with Zenefits from a 1:1 standpoint, but the needs of our specific organization compelled us to look for an alternative. DEFINITELY check them out if interested!!!
