What differentiates TriNet HR Platform from other similar products?

Zenefits is great compared to other ATS or benefit systems because it really has all the data and reporting stored in one place for compliance reasons.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love how it's so simple and easy to use. It's great to be able to work with on a very simple easy user friendly interface and interactive

What do you dislike most about this product?

The pricing and business model. I wish there were contracts involved so I can keep coming back as a customer!

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Please buy this product! It's a great product to have for all employee facing users and it's a great way to also access your benefits as well! Unlike BambooHR where it's very clunky and you have to navigate your way, Zenefits is more simplier!

Good Basic PEO for the right price

What differentiates TriNet HR Platform from other similar products?

The company I previously worked for started using Zenefits in 2015 (the PEO was chosen before I joined) and stopped using them in 2019. What differentiated Zenefits from other PEOs in 2015/2016 was their cost for basic PEO services such as compensation management, tax form generation and background checks (sourced through a 3rd party). However, it seems that there was not a lot of investment in their IT systems over time, and Zenefits was often down or "clunky" (i.e. it took a lot of time for screens to load, etc). This lack of technological efficiency paired with hire pricing led us to select JustWorks as our PEO in 2018.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

In the years that I used Zenefits (2018 & 2019) it had all of the standard PEO HR items that one would need to run a small business.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The overall lack of investment in the technology platform. I am hoping with the recent acquisition by Trinet of Zenefits, this will be resolved. I love the Trinet product, it was just too expensive for my small business to pursue in 2018.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ask what, if anything, the acquisition by Trinet has done to improve the Zenefit product overall. Compare Zenefits to JustWorks and the formal Trinet product. Understand the costs of 3rd party utilization within the Zenefits platform (examples: Commuter benefits, background cheks) and compare those to JustWorks and/or direct HR services. (Example: Zenefits uses(d) Checkr for background checks and charged 2x what going direct to Checkr would cost. We ended up creating a Checkr account independently and stopped using Zenefits for background checks in 2018).
