What differentiates Vonage APIs from other similar products?

Vonage has infrastructure available locally to serve SEA businesses. This results in high uptimes and low latency APIs. Sales team is quite considerate and tries to add value as a partner rather than as a service provider. Leadership checks in from time to time and understands customer pain points. Dealing with several changes across the various telcos in the region can be quite complex but Vonage helps to navigate that complexity with ease.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The usage dashboard and analytics are quite vital for us to manage communication spend. I found myself using this feature almost on a daily basis.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The APIs are quite basic. When we needed more custom rate limiting, we had to build it ourselves. These are common challenges that any customer would face. Vonage could build it better at the service level so that it benefits all customers.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For SMS APIs, get a sense of how many hops the message goes through before reaching the recipient's network. The SMS aggregation vendor is a crowded space in the sense that there could be multiple hops before your message reaches the customer, leading to higher costs and message delivery times.

Great pricing and good passthrough of the SMS

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I had the SMS API setup and working n under 10 minutes. Great API docs.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I would like to see a console log so I can see what was happening in the webhooks for debugging.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Try it out. Even paid it is so cheap to just test features.
