What differentiates Wix from other similar products?

Wix has evolved positively over the years. Contrary to others, it wasn't stagnant and approached the SPA/Headless approach pretty quickly as it kicked in,. Much faster than WordPress to adopt new technologies, I think that's what keeps them afloat.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Speed. I used it for a client of mine and I was amazed and how they improved on speed once they migrated from the traditional (separate context) approach to a SPA/headless one. Plenty of templates can get you started in no time. SEO is also pretty good.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It's still Wix, after all. Some of the templates are (still) very unprofessional and not really usable in a business context. Also, it doesn't have as many customizable features as the competition and it still feels like an archaic way of organizing content.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Wix is great for starters, but it's 2021 and we have moved away from websites. If you definitely need one to build one, you might be better served by a JAMstack option, as this will provide you a superior UX and you will have control of everything, If you can't afford that, then you probably don't need a website. But if you insist, then you might want to try Wix. It's not bad per see, it's just that their approach is too ancient for the times we are living on (in the TikTok era, you can't expect users to spend minutes looking at your text-based content).

What differentiates Wix from other similar products?

Wix is a great start for making your first website without coding experience. Drag and drop your premade elements into your Canvas and start building your website for your business. It is super easy to use and easy to understand. Most Systems don't have such a unique feature for building a website in under 10 minutes.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I personally love the drag and drop feature and building a website in like under 10 minutes. For business that need a website or online-shop right now, wix.com is the place to go.

What do you dislike most about this product?

With great drag and drop comes a limited customization. There are many premade assets that you can use, but they all are limited in their customization. Unfortunately there is no custom code integration that you can use or even customize the source code.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend Wix for getting you started in the very basics of web design. For more professional use you should build your website on CMS like WordPress or Webflow with more possibilities. For a quick personal Website it is a great tool and I would recommend it to everyone!

Wix has an intuitive user interface. With no web design experience, it was super easy and quick to start working. Drag-and-drop feature.

Back end load times and live previews may be buggy
