Acronis does a great job of making products that are easy to use and good at the job they are doing, at a price that is attractive.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ease of use

What do you dislike most about this product?

The recovery system does not like some PERC or RAID drivers and must have them manually inserted.

What differentiates Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud from other similar products?

I have not tried other similar products. At the top, maybe counts the liability of a company, already known in the market for the solutions and implementations in backups/cloning/protecting machines with pretty good software and tech support. Cyber Protect states to cover all types of critical point into a business environment, with different datacenters separately managed. They stepped in during Covid-19 pandemic, giving a comprehensive solution to help smart-workers and contrast increasing numbers of cyber threats and phishing activities.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What i think is the strong point in Acronis, is the ability to use it whenever you are, of course with a good internet connectivity, and manage on cloud backups and protections reports, for easy deploy and recover servers and systems, without necessarily be on place. Giving a built-in RDP solution on installed clients, for remote management. Builtin antivirus and ransomware solution, to ease cloud management for backup recovery/restore, with no risk to mistakenly backup a malware or ransomware on cloud and then restore it. Solution for scenarios whether backups are taken on drives or servers, spreading eventually elsewhere.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The management is not perfect, since it is mainly browser based. Sometimes there are visual artefacts, or random log out depending on servers status / network condition, and an updated version of every browser supported is a must have. There are maintenance or hot-fixing interventions (usually scheduled during non work times) and constant updates that need testing and Agent updates, to avoid issues or blocking of the protection plans. This year were quite frequent. Updating constantly the agent could be a problem, but there is actually implementation to automate the process

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

You have to consider which service and feature is needed for your security needs, based on environment and data size/type management. For backup there are different options supporting workstations, Virtual machines, servers. For protections and disaster recovery there is actually choice during creation of tenants. So is possible to opt-in full protection features on a server, with less billed features activated on other machines. Billing is based choosing GB model (for cloud/ local backup storage or Sync and Share component) or Workload model (billing per machine involved in protection plans). Support is always kind and available.
