What differentiates Acronis DeviceLock DLP from other similar products?
Unlike many DLP solutions that operate at the network or cloud level, DeviceLock secures data directly on endpoint devices, even when offline. Runs quietly in the background — no pop-ups, slowdowns, or workflow disruptions. It offers fine-tuned control over USBs, printers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and more, which many competitors lack.

What differentiates Acronis DeviceLock DLP from other similar products?
We were constantly battling USB misuse and data leaks. DeviceLock gave us instant control, without rolling out a heavy DLP suite. The logging and shadowing are rock solid. It's not flashy, but it works-and fast.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite part of DeviceLock is how easily I can control USB access by user and device. I don’t need a full DLP setup—just set the rules in AD and it works. It’s saved us from multiple near-leaks.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The UI feels outdated, and reporting isn’t as intuitive as I’d like. You get the data, but it takes a bit of digging. Also, setting up content filtering rules isn’t as straightforward as with bigger DLP suites.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you're mainly worried about USBs, printers, or remote endpoint control, DeviceLock is a solid choice. Just be ready to spend some time learning the policy settings—it’s powerful but not the most user-friendly at first. Start with the basics, then layer in content filtering as you go.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
